The paceUP! leagues are now up and running as of the first of April 2018. The paceUP! leagues replace the previous levels in the ‘Big League’. All users are placed in a league with peers reflecting their collected amount of points during the previous season.
If you are a new user you will be placed in the ‘Unranked League’, after which you will continuously be promoted as you earn additional paceUP! points.
To enable a fun and engaging experience the league levels are defined by an estimate of the number of points different levels of users will collect during a season of three months. The total number of paceUP! points needed for a league are calculated by estimating the training points, competition points and points from completed challenges a user can log during a season.
At this point there are seven different leagues in the paceUP! league system;
- Unranked League (0-999 points)
- Starting League (1,000-2,999 points)
- Bronze League (3,000-9,999 points)
- Silver League (10,000-19,999 points)
- Gold League (20,000-29,999 points)
- Platinum League (30,000-39,999 points)
- Diamond League (40,000 and up)
When a new season begins all users’ points are re-set to zero. The lifetime cumulative points are saved and shown in the profile page but is not the base for the leaderboard/league positioning.
The league is viewed under what was previously the ‘Big League’ view in the App (replacing the current big-league view). Individual placing (positioning) is dynamic and changes with the number of points collected through logged training activities, races, and completed challenges. A user will be assigned to the same league until he/she has more points than what is required for that league, at what point he/she will be promoted to the next league.
After the completion of a season all users will be automatically assigned to a new league. The new league will depend on the total number of points collected during the season. If a user has not collected the required number of points for the league he/she started the season in he/she will be demoted one league level.
We are working on a ‘Top 100’ list displaying the 100 paceUP! users with the highest amount of points during the current season. The ‘Top 100’ view will be visible for all users and are planned for launch during May 2018.
